Vice President of Operations

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Vice President of Operations to join our growing and dynamic team. This role involves developing and overseeing the delivery of services to members, leading the development and implementation of key organizational strategic plans, and providing regulatory oversight. This is a highly visible role, and we are seeking a background that aligns with our member and employee driven culture.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Directs and monitors operations to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met. Produces measurable reporting standards for quality control and process improvement. Ensures our brand is represented in the services we provide, member satisfaction, and community involvement.
  • Performs performance appraisals, establishes goals and action plans, and creates performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
  • Creates opportunities for employee development; consistently providing guidance and support to coach employees within the organization. Conducts training and meets regularly with staff to provide continued education.
  • Develops, proposes, gains acceptance for and implements strategy and policy; leads new product development and creates efficiencies with operational workflow.
  • Provides guidance on complex matters. Is a champion for the business, product delivery, and process improvement.
  • Reports on overall operational wellbeing and strategic initiatives.
  • Effectively collaborates with management, and all levels of the organization, including strong vendor management.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Experience: 5-10 years of similar or related experience. Strong working knowledge of Symitar banking core. New product implementation, compliance, and audit background.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or similar work-related experience, formal certifications, or training in the industry.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals). The role requires a significant level of trust and diplomacy.
  • Other Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, employee engagement skills, knowledge of banking operations and regulatory and compliance, project management, relationship management, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
